  1. Andrew I thought Id tested it on windows XP, but its quite possible it wont work for you. However if it was just the Path Not Found error, try downloading it again. I realise I’ve had a non-functioning zip file available this past month. Ooops!

  2. Ah, those were the days! This works fine on my Windows XP! Great to have an Editor as well… 😉 Good stuff!

  3. Nope. This is written a long time ago in visual basic 3 (ancient). Its a 16bit binary which might make even less likely to run on a device I guess 🙁

  4. Repton was my life when I was 8, you have no idea how much fun I am having with this. Mind you I think I have become increasingly stupid over the last 20-odd years, as I am finding the Main one pretty hard! Thanks for making my autumn 🙂

  5. I played this game many years ago and I am so glad of the chance to play it again, thank you so much for making it available again.

  6. hey. bringing back some good ol memories with this game. Totally stuck though on level 4 of the main levels. can get half way through, but cant get the spirits at the bottom into the cages without trapping myself. any ideas?

  7. Dunno if I should give out clues to everyone… Oh go on then!

I seem to remember the trick here was the diamond in the very bottom left corner of the map. Leave it in place, and drop a rock (from the blue chamber) onto it.

  8. Running a 64 bit modified laptop means I can’t play the game then I suppose grrrrrrrr. Just have to fire up My BBC then and find the floppy somewhere I suppose!! I would have looked foreward to playing it on here though as the game is ace….

  9. oh. Can’t imagine why that would be. You must be unzipping it wrong or something. In the zip file there’s subdirectory ‘levelset’ containing main.rls

  10. Hi, I know this is pretty old, but is there any way to get this working on Windows 10? I remember being able to play it on Windows 7, but Windows 10 is having none of it!?! Cheers, Colin.
